Dr. Zsuzsanna Devecseri, MD, MBA
Non-Executive Board Member 

Dr. Zsuzsanna Devecseri, MD, MBA, is Head of Medical Affairs at Merck Healthcare and serves as a Non-Executive Board Member of SMDG.

A physician and former pediatric oncologist, Dr. Devecseri graduated from Semmelweis University of Medicine in Hungary. She later earned an MBA in Economics from Corvinus University and completed a certificate in Health Economics and Outcomes Research at the University of Washington in Seattle. She also holds professional certifications in health insurance and marketing excellence and is a certified coach.

Since entering the pharmaceutical industry in 2003, Dr. Devecseri has held increasingly senior commercial and medical leadership positions at Abbott, Genzyme, Sanofi, Novartis and Merck Healthcare. Her experience spans multiple therapeutic areas, including cardiometabolic diseases, oncology and rare diseases. Through global roles based in Boston since 2010, she has developed extensive knowledge of healthcare systems worldwide and a strong record of building and leading high-performing international teams.

In addition to her role with SMDG, Dr. Devecseri joined the Board of Deirdre’s House in January 2025, supporting the organization’s work with children affected by abuse and neglect. From June 2025 to May 2026, she also served as a Board Member and Chair of RLT Angels.

Dr. Devecseri is a frequent speaker at medical affairs and leadership conferences. She is particularly committed to advancing earlier diagnosis and treatment and improving access to innovative therapies for patients worldwide.
