Professor Moein Moghimi to Chair NDDTE 2027 at RAN 2027

Professor Moein Moghimi, Co-founder of SMDG and Chair of its Scientific Advisory Board, will serve as Conference Chair of the 12th International Conference on Nanomedicine, Drug Delivery and Tissue Engineering (NDDTE 2027).

​

Held as part of the 12th World Congress on Recent Advances in Nanotechnology (RAN 2027), the conference will bring together researchers, academics and industry professionals from around the world to present new research and exchange ideas across nanomedicine, drug delivery and tissue engineering.

​

Professor Moghimi’s appointment reflects his internationally recognised leadership and longstanding contributions to nanomedicine, targeted drug delivery and nanosafety.

Professor Moein Moghimi, Co-founder of SMDG and Chair of its Scientific Advisory Board, served as one of four invited Discussion Leaders at the third Mechanisms and Barriers in Nanomedicine Conference-Workshop, organised by the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

 

Focused on Protein–Nanomaterial Interactions, the conference brought together leading international researchers to examine the biological, immunological and manufacturing barriers affecting the clinical translation of nanomedicines. Professor Moghimi helped lead in-depth scientific discussions exploring how proteins and immune interactions influence nanomaterial behaviour, safety and therapeutic performance.

Professor Moein Moghimi Speaks at PharmSci 2026

Professor Moein Moghimi, Co-founder of SMDG and Chair of its Scientific Advisory Board, delivered a presentation at the 17th PharmSci International Conference, organised by the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences. His presentation received an exceptionally enthusiastic response from conference delegates.

Held under the theme “Future Medicines: Powering Pharmaceutical Science Through Disciplinary Diversity,” PharmSci 2026 brought together scientists from academia and industry to explore the development and delivery of next-generation medicines, including advances in drug delivery, formulation, data science, artificial intelligence and sustainable manufacturing.

SMDG to Present at Oxford Global Discovery & Development Europe 2026

 

SMDG is pleased to announce its participation in the Discovery & Development Europe 2026, taking place on 15–16 June 2026. The event will bring together more than 1,000 leaders from biotech, pharma, and academia to explore the latest innovations accelerating drug discovery and development.

As part of the scientific programme, Dr. Shadi Farhangrazi will present SMDG’s work on advancing genetic medicine therapeutics for rare pediatric diseases. Her talk will highlight the company’s proprietary platforms and their potential to overcome long-standing barriers in targeted gene-based therapies.

Dr. Shadi Farhangrazi will be speaking at the Westminster Health Forum on 15 May 2026 as part of a session on advancing women’s health across research, development, and innovation.

Joining a panel of experts from across healthcare, research, and industry, she will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of neurological and inflammatory diseases in women — addressing critical gaps in research, representation in clinical trials, and the development of effective therapies.

​

Dr. Farhangrazi will also share insights from SMDG's latest research and highlight the urgent need for greater investment in women’s health to drive innovation and improve outcomes.
