Professor Moein Moghimi 

For the fifth consecutive year, the Elsevier’s published data-update from Stanford University “Updated Science-Wide Author Databases of Standardized Citation Indicators”, Version 7 has named Prof. Moghimi among the world’s leading 8000 scientists (top 0.036% of scientists). This is a prestigious database of topscientists in the world that are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields and provides careerlong data to the end-of-2023 and single year (2023) data. Prof. Moghimi’s top ranked Science-Metrix subfield is Pharmacology & Pharmacy, ranking him 46 (out of 148,458) in the world and 9 in the UK (including 5 inactive and retired scientists) on a career-long basis. Meet Moein

His groundbreaking research spans nanomedicine, pharmaceutical nanoscience, and nanosafety, with a strong focus on nanoparticle engineering for site-specific drug delivery and imaging, splenotropic and lymphotropic nanocarriers, phagocyte-resistant nanoparticles, and cerebral endothelial-targeting nanosystems. He has also provided key mechanistic insights into nanomaterial-mediated infusion reactions and cell death pathways.

Moein is a tireless advocate for advancing educational opportunities and health equity and has advised many international organisations.  He has served as an expert advisor and consultant to over 50 pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, and investment organizations worldwide. His expertise is frequently sought by governmental bodies, research councils, and private institutions, having been an assessor and evaluator for over 50 establishments across 25 countries.

He is known for his fundamental and translational research in nanomedicine and drug delivery, especially in polymeric and nanomaterials' cell and immune safety, and as an inventor of nanosystems for tissue specific targeting and design of nanoparticles for specific organ targeting.
